For the film Dark Light, a documentary following three emerging artists in Damascus, Syria, Sam Hoyek composed and produced an original soundtrack rooted in the intuitive creativity that develops without formal guidance. The score treats naivety not as a lack, but as a generative condition from which singular forms of expression can emerge.
