Inspired by “Solarisation” from Gruppo Di Nun’s Revolutionary Demonology, “beach_day” turns comfort oppressive as silvery sweeps, violin, and looming cello gather like a wave blocking out the sun. After near-silence, the track ruptures into distorted synthesizers, massive drums, bellowing cello, and a wailing guitar solo unconcerned with technical polish.
